RINA is seeking a Business Development Director for Infrastructure & Mobility to lead NAM commercial sales across North America, based in Boston, Houston or Chicago/Lisle. The role focuses on driving growth, expanding client relationships, and delivering sustained profitability.
The candidate will manage a team of BD professionals, oversee proposals, and leverage market trends to win new opportunities while strengthening strategic partnerships within the NAM region.
RINA is currently recruiting for a Business Development Director- Infrastructure & Mobility to join its office in Boston, Houston or Chicago/Lisle, IL within the North America Engineering Commercial Management Division.
Compensation: $190,000 - $215,000 commensurate with education and experience
The Business Development (BD) Director is responsible for driving the commercial success of the Infrastructure + Mobility business across North America (NAM). Success is defined by growth in order intake (contract awards) and the profitability of those engagements. This role champions RINA’s client‑focused sales approach by helping achieve annual revenue targets and long‑term growth objectives. The BD Director provides strategic insight, leads market assessments, and translates evolving trends into actionable plans and targeted client account strategies.
A key priority is deepening relationships with clients that offer sustainable, recurring work. The BD Director ensures consistent, high‑performing teams are aligned to these clients, enabling RINA to leverage institutional knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and deliver greater long‑term value. Additionally, the BD Director builds and maintains a strong network of strategic partners, expanding RINA’s ability to successfully pursue and win a broad range of opportunities.
The North America Business Development Director will develop and implement the NAM commercial sales strategy to drive organizational growth and market positioning through the leadership of a structured team of Business Development professionals to accomplish the following:
