We are a dynamic and growing recruiting agency specializing in placing mid-level sales and finance professionals, e.g., director and below. Our focus is on serving lower-middle market and middle market private equity firms, helping them secure top-tier talent to drive their portfolio companies forward.

Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Director to expand our client base within the private equity space. This role is 100% remote and commission-based, providing flexibility and unlimited earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, prospect, and build relationships with lower middle market and middle market private equity firms
  2. Develop and execute outreach strategies to secure meetings with key decision-makers (e.g., Fund-level Talent Directors, deal teams, and operating partners)
  3. Educate potential clients on our recruiting services, value proposition, and success in placing mid-level sales and finance talent
  4. Generate meetings with potential clients for Avenir’s leadership team
  5. Collaborate with Avenir’s leadership team to ensure seamless handoff of potential clients

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Prior experience either (i) working at a private equity fund in a talent or operating leadership role or (ii) proven track record of selling business services to private equity clients and their portfolio companies
  2. Strong network of private equity fund-level talent and operating professionals who decide or influence decisions on which recruiting firms are used by the fund and portfolio companies
  3. Mature business professional with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills at the executive level
  4. Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently to prospect, conduct outreach, and secure meetings with potential clients for Avenir’s leadership team
