Job description

Business Development and Data Analyst - IMMEDIATE HIRE

Temple Allen Industries (www.templeallen.com) is at the forefront of bringing AI and Machine Learning to innovation-resistant industrial processes for high-value assets in aerospace, marine, windpower, and transportation markets. We are currently expanding our award-winning line of smart automation EMMA™ systems which dramatically improve aircraft sanding operations.

You are a self-directed and creative problem solver who is comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analytics, communicating technical and financial benefits focused towards business case development.

You also have strong mechanical instincts or background, which enable you to participate in discussions on aerospace manufacturing and cutting‑edge smart automation robotic systems. You are able to assess which features and benefits a customer really wants and coordinate with engineering to make sure that what we build meets clients’ needs and exceeds their expectations and forecast the desirability of those features to additional customers.

As a member of the Business Development team, you will contribute to efforts to develop complete business cases for strategic accounts, find innovative solutions to various challenges, baseline new customer operations/processes, write proposals, generate quotes, and support company communications with customer personnel from the operations level to engineering management. Interacting with the Engineering team, you will bring your data analytics skill set to help develop the goals and display parameters of the various reporting products being developed.

Responsibilities
  • Help identify and quantify market opportunities for an entirely new class of industrial automation tool
  • Strategize, craft, and deliver a compelling business case for each customer
  • Support the development of post‑launch tactical objectives and metrics
  • Research, develop, and defend a pricing strategy for each market
  • Draft quotes, proposals, and cost/benefit analyses
  • Create and maintain budgets for business development operations, including customer trips and attending trade shows
  • Conduct inventory control on business development assets
  • Develop and help produce marketing materials for customers, tradeshows, publications, etc.
  • Track TAI equipment in the field – purchased units, demo units, warranties, consumables, etc.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record from a highly competitive university or college. Ideally, this undergraduate degree will be in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience (internship/collegiate) working with technology, marketing, market analysis, or business development (preferably in robotics or aerospace sectors)
  • Substantial competence in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to develop a sophisticated and potentially complex Cost‑Benefit Analysis for customers
  • Maintains very organized workflow, able to maintain organization while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding problem solving and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is a plus
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
