Job summary

International Software Systems, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Associate in Maryland to support growth initiatives across federal, state, local government, and commercial markets.

You will identify opportunities, help prepare proposals, conduct market research, and support marketing activities. You will collaborate with leadership, BD personnel, and subject matter experts to build compelling proposals, maintain materials, and manage pipelines and dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and track new business opportunities through government procurement portals, industry databases, networking events, and market intelligence sources.
  • Monitor federal, state, local government, and commercial contract opportunities and assist with opportunity qualification and pipeline management.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, industry trends, and strategic partnerships.
  • Support outreach efforts with prospective clients, teaming partners, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings related to business opportunities, capture activities, and partnership discussions.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining strategic partner relationships to support growth initiatives.
  • Maintain business development tracking tools, opportunity pipelines, and reporting dashboards.
  • Proposal Development & Capture Support: Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of proposals, RFPs, RFIs, Sources Sought notices, and other business development responses.
  • Coordinate proposal activities and timelines to ensure timely and compliant submissions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and leadership to gather content.
  • Prepare compliance matrices, proposal checklists, and required submission documentation.
  • Maintain and update proposal templates, boilerplate content, resumes, past performance references, capability statements, and proposal repositories.
  • Review solicitation requirements and assist in ensuring proposal compliance with customer instructions and evaluation criteria.
  • Support proposal editing, formatting, quality reviews, and final production activities.
  • Maintain a repository of past performance information, corporate experience, and proposal assets for future opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing materials, capability statements, presentations, brochures, and company profiles.
  • Support sales and marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and generate new business opportunities.
  • Prepare presentations and company overviews for client meetings, networking events, conferences, and industry engagements.
  • Assist with website content updates, social media activities, and promotional materials as directed.
  • Represent the company professionally at networking events, conferences, trade shows, and industry functions.
  • Support efforts to strengthen the company's visibility, reputation, and market presence.

Job description
