Business Development and Technology Partnerships Manager — Education & Smart Office

This role has been designated as ‘Remote/Teleworker’, which means you will primarily work from home.

Who We Are: Hewlett Packard Enterprise is the global edge-to-cloud company advancing the way people live and work. We help companies connect, protect, analyze, and act on their data and applications wherever they live, from edge to cloud, so they can turn insights into outcomes at the speed required to thrive in today’s complex world. We have the flexibility to manage our work and personal needs. Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a results-oriented Business Development and Technology Partnerships Manager to accelerate growth in the Education and Smart Office verticals. These verticals serve the HPE Networking Campus and Branch portfolio, connecting customer use cases and technology partnerships to secure, AI-powered wired, wireless, WAN, and network-management solutions.

The role identifies market opportunities, builds strategic customer and partner relationships, develops repeatable go-to-market motions, and translates education and workplace requirements into measurable business outcomes. Success requires close collaboration with HPE sales, product, technical, marketing, services, and channel teams.

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for Education and Smart Office aligned to the HPE Networking Campus and Branch portfolio.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities across K–12, higher education, enterprise workplaces, corporate campuses, branches, and managed facilities.
  • Build pipeline, track opportunity progression, improve forecast accuracy, and deliver against growth goals.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable use cases, partner solutions, and compelling business value.
Vertical and Portfolio Development
  • Shape Education propositions for secure campus connectivity, digital classrooms, hybrid learning, mobility, device access, and simplified operations.
  • Shape Smart Office propositions for hybrid work, intelligent workplaces, collaboration spaces, secure access, connected facilities, and distributed branches.
  • Position relevant Campus and Branch capabilities across wired, wireless, WAN, security, policy, automation, and cloud-based management.
Customer and Partner Leadership
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with customer executives, IT leaders, facilities teams, education administrators, procurement organizations, and workplace stakeholders.
  • Recruit, enable, and motivate technology partners, channel organizations, and system integrators serving the target verticals.
  • Create executive presentations, business cases, joint value propositions, and go-to-market plans.
  • Coordinate HPE account, solution, product, marketing, services, and customer-success teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Monitor customer, technology, procurement, and competitive trends affecting Education, Smart Office, Campus, and Branch networking.
  • Provide actionable feedback on market opportunities, customer requirements, portfolio gaps, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop differentiated industry messaging and represent HPE in relevant customer, partner, and industry forums.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in business development, sales, account management, alliances, or technology consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct consultative discovery, qualify opportunities, manage pipeline, and articulate value to technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong presentation, stakeholder-management, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10–15% based on business needs and authorization to work in the applicable location.
  • Experience with education technology, campus infrastructure, smart buildings, connected workplaces, hybrid work, or digital workplace programs.
  • Knowledge of enterprise wired and wireless networking, WAN or SD-WAN, network security, cloud-based management, and managed services.
  • Experience developing technology partnerships, integrations, joint go-to-market plans, and channel-led solutions.
  • Familiarity with business-outcome frameworks, total cost of ownership, return-on-investment modeling, and value-based selling.
  • Knowledge of HPE Networking and its Campus and Branch portfolio is strongly preferred.
  • Customer-first, outcome-oriented, and commercially accountable.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, evolving technologies, and complex customer environments.
  • Committed to ethical, inclusive, secure, and sustainable business practices.

This remote, customer-facing role combines virtual engagement, internal collaboration, customer and partner meetings, industry events, and approximately 10–15% travel.
