Job description

Founded in 1999, Audax Group is a leading alternative investment manager with offices in Boston, New York, San Francisco, London and Hong Kong. With approximately $42 billion of assets under management and more than 475 employees, Audax is a leading capital partner for middle market companies, operating through three business lines: Audax Private Equity, Audax Private Debt, and Audax Strategic Capital.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Audax Private Equity is seeking a detail-oriented analyst with a passion for data integrity and reporting to join the Business Development team. The Analyst will play an integral role in supporting and advancing Audax’ Buy & Build strategy by owning the integrity and analysis of deal data across the firm’s proprietary CRM platform, translating pipeline data into actionable insights, and partnering cross-functionally with investment, operations, and portfolio teams. This role will be a critical data and reporting resource for the broader operations team; maintaining and optimizing our proprietary CRM platform, executing daily and weekly reporting, and translating complex pipeline data into clear, actionable intelligence shared across investment, operations, and portfolio functions.

Building on a foundation of CRM management and data governance, the Analyst will take on greater ownership of analytical outputs, leading recurring and ad hoc reporting, identifying data trends, and contributing to process improvements that scale the Business Development function and beyond. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical instincts who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment and is eager to develop a robust knowledge base on CRM function, data integrity, and business intelligence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CRM Support & Data Integrity
  • Assist with the management of new deal data within Audax’s proprietary CRM system, helping to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all pipeline records
  • Help identify and elevate data quality issues; collaborate with investment professionals and internal stakeholders to close data gaps and support governance standards
  • Assist in maintaining CRM workflows, data structures, and field configurations to support evolving business development processes
  • Develop familiarity with Salesforce CRM functionality and serve as a resource for day-to-day system questions
  • Help develop and maintain documentation for CRM workflows and reporting processes
Pipeline Analytics & Reporting
  • Assist in producing and distributing weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline reports, helping to synthesize deal flow trends and activity metrics for senior leadership and investment teams
  • Help build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that support visibility into deal pipeline status, volume, and velocity
  • Contribute to pipeline data analysis, helping to surface patterns, sector trends, and origination insights that inform the firm’s investment strategy
  • Support responses to ad hoc analytical requests from deal teams, portfolio management, and firm leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Support
  • Partner with Investment, Finance, Business Solutions, Legal, and Portfolio Operations teams to ensure alignment of deal data, definitions, and workflows across functions
  • Prepare and deliver polished presentations and data summaries for internal business unit reviews and external stakeholder communications
  • Support the execution of business development initiatives, including market mapping, target identification, and intermediary relationship tracking
  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of technology enhancements to the CRM and data infrastructure stack
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Demonstrated experience managing and improving CRM systems; Salesforce proficiency required
  • 1–3 years of experience in a data, operations, or analytical function, with demonstrated practice delivering across audiences
Technical Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dynamic data modeling); experience with Power BI, or equivalent BI tools a plus
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build clear, executive-level presentations from complex data sets
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and data administration is helpful
Competencies
  • Exceptional analytical acumen with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong initiative and follow-through: proactively flags issues and contributes solutions in a collaborative, team-oriented way
