Pensacola State College seeks a proactive Business Department Head to lead the 12-month administrative role starting January 2027. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise programs, and guide curriculum updates while ensuring strategic-budget alignment.

Reporting to the Dean of Baccalaureate Studies and Academic Support, you will hire adjunct faculty, assign courses, mentor staff, resolve student concerns, and participate in college committees to advance student success.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in business, management, or related field.
• Four years of full-time post-secondary teaching or administrative experience.
• Criminal background check required; FDLE background check per Florida statute.
• Must meet background investigation requirements per Florida statute.§ 435.04(2) and related policies.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the department.
• Supervise all programs and develop course schedules.
• Assign faculty and supervise/evaluate departmental staff.
• Manage the departmental budget and advise students.
• Review and update curricula; hire adjunct faculty.
• Address student complaints and participate in college committees.
• Lead planning and assessment activities for the department.
