Job Title - Business Day On-Call IT Specialist

Base Location – Remote

Duration – 12+ months

Rate: $30/hr on W2 or $35/hr on 1099

**Only on W2 or 1099** & **Candidates local to Michigan are preferred**

Job Description :

A detail-oriented and proactive Business Day On-Call IT Specialist to provide support during EST business hours. This role is critical for ensuring the smooth operation of our applications, providing prompt responses to support issues, and driving continual improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced skill set in monitoring, support, and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-call IT support during EST business hours (8 AM - 5 PM).
  • Monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
  • Respond promptly to support tickets and resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application errors.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and improvements.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT support, software development, or DevOps roles.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring tools (Dynatrace).
  • Familiarity with support ticket systems (ServiceNow).
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot is a must.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Java, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
