Job summary

Google's BizOps within the Procurement Organization seeks a Share Business Data Analyst to design, develop, and maintain self-service reporting tools and dashboards for procurement stakeholders.

You will collect, analyze data from diverse sources, identify KPIs, and deliver visualizations to inform leadership decisions, supporting global procurement processes across Sunnyvale and Chicago locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 9 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or technical operations.
  • 9 years of experience analyzing data sets using SQL or a comparable coding language.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain self-service reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms tailored for procurement stakeholders.
  • Oversee collecting, aggregating, and analyzing procurement-related data from various sources to create actionable insights and meaningful visualizations.
  • Drive in-depth analysis to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics relevant to procurement operations.
  • Lead creation of interactive and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using data visualization and reporting tools and software.
  • Drive ongoing manual reporting activities by generating ad-hoc reports,and analyses as needed for specific operational requirements and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of manually prepared reports.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 9 years of experience analyzing data sets using SQL or a comparable coding language (e.g., Python, R, Java, C++).
Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience with advanced data visualization techniques and storytelling to convey insights effectively, and knowledge of procurement processes to design tailored self-service reporting tools.
  • Experience providing training, guidance, and ongoing support to procurement teams on using self-service reporting tools effectively.
  • Managerial experience guiding and facilitating cross-functional or global teams, including managing and influencing professionals and managers to establish performance expectations.
  • Proficiency in data governance principles and practices, with experience in ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity in reporting activities.
