Job summary

Google Procurement Organization (GPO) seeks a senior procurement professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for goods and services. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, identify suppliers, run RFx, negotiate terms, and manage contract execution to deliver value.

The role emphasizes supplier performance, cost savings, and alignment with Google’s procurement standards, with opportunities across multiple sourcing functions and regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management focusing on end-to-end sourcing processes.
  • Experience applying sourcing principles to lifecycle from supplier identification to contract execution.
  • Experience negotiating agreements and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, performance evaluation, and contract compliance.

  • Support collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and strategies.
  • Manage sourcing processes for goods or services, including supplier identification, RFx creation, negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Identify and engage with external vendors to manage specific sourcing functions and oversee outsourced functions for quality and alignment.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, including performance evaluations and contract compliance.
  • Support identification of cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.

Job description

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, focusing on end-to-end sourcing processes for goods and services.
  • Experience applying sourcing principles, methodologies, and practices to manage the complete lifecycle from supplier identification through contract execution.
  • Experience negotiating agreements, identifying cost‑saving opportunities, and developing negotiation strategies.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract compliance, and issue resolution.
Preferred qualifications
  • Advanced degree or certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
  • Experience in managing outsourced sourcing functions or tasks, and overseeing and managing the performance of outsourced functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in using sourcing tools and software, such as eSourcing platforms, contract management systems, and spend analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to sourcing operations, and experience in ensuring compliance with these requirements in sourcing activities.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in sourcing, and ability to implement these practices to optimize sourcing operations.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $136000 - $196000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Identify and engage with external vendors or service providers to manage specific sourcing functions or tasks; and oversee and manage the performance of outsourced functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, including performance evaluations, contract compliance, and issue resolution.
  • Support identification of cost‑saving opportunities and negotiation strategies in collaboration with outsourced partners and support negotiations with suppliers to achieve favourable terms and pricing.
