Business/Data Analyst

We are seeking a Business/Data Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives by gathering business and data requirements, analyzing data flows, and assisting with the development and validation of data products. This Business/Data Analyst will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection, transformation, and reporting across a data warehouse ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed data and functional requirements.
• Support data extraction, transformation, and aggregation processes.
• Coordinate with technical teams to interpret and validate data outputs.
• Perform data quality reviews and testing to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Investigate and help resolve issues identified during system and user testing.
• Develop process documentation, data flow diagrams, and requirements specifications.
• Prepare analytical summaries and technical reports based on findings.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.
• Support the development of system, integration, and user acceptance test scripts.
• Participate in UAT activities and testing documentation.
• Conduct meetings with data owners to address source data and transformation rules.
• Assist in evaluating and improving source data quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience gathering business and data requirements.
• Experience working within data warehouse or enterprise data management environments.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases including Snowflake.
• Experience supporting ELT or data transformation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Experience producing structured technical documentation.

This is a remote 12-month Contract opportunity with our Kansas-based client.
