Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate need for a Business Data Analyst for a Scottsdale, AZ onsite contract role. You will partner with business leaders to capture needs, decompose requirements, and drive data-driven solutions across dashboards and data products.

The ideal candidate has about six years of experience in data or business analysis, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio or Figma. Onsite work preferred for this long-term contract.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or Figma.
• Understanding of data architecture, data flows, and integrations.
• Nice to have: degree in CS/MIS/Business/Data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders, product owners, and technology professionals to understand business needs and desired outcomes.
• Decompose project scope into functional and technical requirements for users, data, UI applications, APIs, and integrations.
• Manage the complete requirements lifecycle—from elicitation and documentation through verification and implementation.
• Analyze current and future states across applications, data, and dependencies, applying data-architecture knowledge to recommend practical solutions.
• Validate data across source systems and translate findings into requirements for dashboards, reports, and data products.
• Facilitate requirements and user-story-mapping sessions with stakeholders to align user journeys and scope boundaries.
• Build collaborative relationships and communicate complexity clearly while managing multiple efforts.
• Utilize AI-assisted tooling to enhance requirements analysis and documentation.

Immediate need for a talented Business Data Analyst. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Scottsdale , AZ(Onsite).

• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and negotiate.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, or Figma.
• Understanding of data architecture, data flows, and system-to-system integrations.
• Familiarity with APIs, UI applications, data warehouses, and analytics solutions.
• Nice to have: Undergraduate study in computer science, management information systems, business, data analytics, or a related field.
