Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on analytics, business analysis, or comparable roles with large/complex datasets.
• Demonstrated experience developing metrics, reporting solutions, and analytical insights with strong business partner relationships.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and data storytelling using tools such as Power BI/Fabric (preferred) and Cognos.
• Proficiency in SQL, including knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data modeling and model development.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, develop impactful data products and reporting solutions, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

You will play a key role in advancing our organization's analytics capabilities while ensuring solutions align with enterprise data strategy, governance standards, data quality expectations, and ongoing transformation initiatives. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders and leaders to understand business objectives, analytical needs, and reporting requirements.
• Design and deliver tailored reporting, dashboards, and data solutions that support and influence enterprise decision-making.
• Build strong partnerships across the organization to support ad-hoc analysis, reporting needs, and data product development.
• Analyze complex data and translate findings into clear, relatable business insights and compelling data stories tailored to the audience and scope.
• Collaborate with Data Management teams to identify data gaps, quality issues, and opportunities for improving data reliability.
• Contribute to the advancement of enterprise analytics capabilities, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure analytics and reporting solutions align with enterprise data strategy, governance requirements, and transformation initiatives.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required; MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Analytics-related certifications preferred, such as: Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau,
• Power BI Data Analyst or Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer certification is a plus.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in analytics, business analysis, or comparable roles working with large and/or complex datasets.
• Demonstrated experience developing metrics, reporting solutions, and analytical insights while building strong relationships with business partners.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization and data storytelling using tools such as Power BI/Fabric (preferred) and Cognos.
• Proficiency in SQL, including knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQL.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data modeling and model development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand user needs and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
• Demonstrated understanding of conceptual and logical data design.
• Experience within the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
