Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a Business Continuity Specialist to support a technology sector client in building a corporate BC program. You will execute BC workstreams, collaborating with the client's BC leadership to develop a fit-for-purpose program and demonstrate value quickly.

Responsibilities include conducting business impact and risk assessments, developing recovery strategies, facilitating training and exercises, and implementing new BC tooling.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years' experience implementing and managing business continuity or resilience programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to influence decisions.
  • Clear executive presence and ability to engage with stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem solver.
  • Experience with commercial Business Continuity tools.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Gemini.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to dive deep into data, processes, people, and technology challenges to identify risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Execute BC workstreams and deliver independently after client endorsement.
  • Conduct business impact assessments to determine core functions, dependencies, recovery priorities, and RTOs.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify threats and vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize customer impacts and ensure timely recovery during disruptions.
  • Facilitate BC training and awareness and design meaningful plan exercises.
  • Manage implementation of new tooling for the BC function with internal and external partners.
  • Act as a thought partner to develop a fit-for-purpose program for the client ecosystem.
  • Serve as primary contact for BC inquiries and support across the client enterprise.
  • Work with large amounts of data to provide meaningful reports for decision-making.
  • Stay current on trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in BC and disaster recovery.

The specialist will primarily be an executor of Business Continuity workstreams, collaborating closely with the client's Business Continuity leadership team to develop a fit-for-purpose program and demonstrate value quickly.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-130,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
