Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Associate in the Bank Risk Office in Richmond, VA to help advance Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience frameworks. You will partner with business, technology, and risk teams to perform BIAs, map dependencies, and ensure the organization can prevent, adapt to, and recover from disruptions.

You will apply analytical, technical, and delivery skills to support risk management and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, or Operational Risk Management.
• At least 2 years conducting BIAs and dependency mapping (including technology/application dependencies).
• At least 2 years using data analytics tools to analyze risk metrics and build reporting dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Business Continuity Plan QA, BIA & Dependency Mapping.
• Deliver annual BCP QA requirements via assessments and updates.
• Support BIAs across Banking & Premium Products to identify critical functions, RTOs, and RPOs.
• Map end-to-end operational dependencies with IT and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure alignment between business recovery timeframes and DR capabilities; escalate gaps.
