Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Business Capability Architect - Mission Focused to join our team in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role shapes enterprise capability architecture for mission-focused functions spanning product development, product support, and manufacturing management, defining current-state and target-state views.

You will create roadmaps connecting systems and initiatives, translate standards into practical guidance, and partner with engineering and operations to align stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years, or Master’s with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret-level security clearance.
• Strong experience in architecture for business capabilities and complex cross-functional portfolios.
• Ability to connect target-state design to operational outcomes across organizational boundaries.
• Experience creating roadmaps and architecture guidance across multiple solutions or systems.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills across various organizational functions.
• Knowledge of TOGAF ADM or other architecture frameworks.

For our client, we are seeking a Business Capability Architect - Mission Focused to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.

This role will shape enterprise capability architecture for mission-focused functions spanning product development, product support, and manufacturing management. You will define current-state and target-state capability views, create roadmaps that connect multiple systems and initiatives, and translate enterprise standards into practical architecture guidance. The position also requires strong cross-functional partnership to align engineering and operational stakeholders around coherent, outcome-driven design.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $161,000 – $241,400 annually
