Job summary

EdFed is seeking a Business Services Specialist to help develop, implement, and optimize our Business Services program. You will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support deposits, treasury management, and small business lending while ensuring compliant, member-focused operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 2–4 years in banking/credit union operations or related financial services.
• Experience in lending, treasury management, or project coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of business deposit, treasury management, and small business lending products and services.
• Assist with workflow design, procedure development, forms, job aids, and operational documentation.
• Participate in requirements gathering, testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation readiness.
• Coordinate assigned implementation activities with internal departments, vendors, and consultants.
• Support the administration of Business Services products and services.
• Assist with business account servicing, loan processing, documentation, underwriting support, portfolio administration, and treasury management support.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure a high level of member service.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and member experience.
• Maintain and update procedures and recommend workflow improvements.
• Support change management and operational readiness initiatives.
• Support technology implementations, system enhancements, issue resolution, and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate assigned project tasks and monitor implementation activities.
• Prepare operational reports and monitor business performance metrics.

Job description

The Business Services Specialist (Business Banking Specialist) is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, administration, and continuous enhancement of the Credit Union's Business Services program. This position partners with Business Services leadership and cross-functional teams to help establish, support, and optimize business deposit, treasury management, and small business lending services while ensuring efficient, compliant, and member-focused operations.

During the initial implementation phase, the position focuses on project execution, operational readiness, documentation, testing, vendor coordination, and implementation support. As the Business Services department matures, the role transitions into ongoing operational administration, lending support, treasury management support, reporting, process ownership, and continuous improvement. This position is intentionally designed to evolve alongside the Business Services department, and responsibilities may expand or shift as organizational priorities, technology, products, services, and strategic initiatives evolve.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 2-4 years of experience in banking, credit union operations, business services, lending, treasury management, project coordination, or a related financial services role preferred.
