Responsibilities

• Represent the organization at community events promoting Nusenda Credit Union as a preferred financial institution and workplace.
• Pre-screen loan opportunities, interview applicants, gather financial packages, and assess SBA program fit for common requests (e.g., 7(a) and 504).
• Collaborate with business banking underwriting to structure terms, pricing, and collateral while mitigating risk.
• Respond to inquiries within SLAs, conduct regular check-ins based on relationship size, collect required financials ahead of renewals, and document all interactions in CRM.

We are currently seeking a Business Banking Relationship Manager to join our organization. As a Business Banking Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for executing a disciplined calling program to grow new and existing business banking relationships. You will source prospects through cold calls, centers of influence (e.g., local chamber of commerce, Certified Public Accountants etc.), community outreach, and digital research. Build referral pipelines, identify cross-sell opportunities, and position Nusenda products and services to meet member needs by uncovering needs through targeted questions, presenting tailored solution sets, coordinating as needed with Treasury Management and Business Banking Underwriting for pricing and structure.

What You'll Do:

• Represent the organization at community events promoting our organization as a preferred financial institution and workplace.
• Pre-screen loan opportunities, interview applicants, gather financial packages, and assess SBA program fit for common requests (for example, 7(a) and 504).
• Collaborate with business banking underwriting to structure terms that provide appropriate returns and mitigate risk by sizing facilities to verified cash flow and working capital cycles, aligning term and amortization to loan purpose and collateral useful life, setting collateral advance rates and loan‑to‑value within policy, confirming guarantor support and global Debt Service Coverage Ratio, selecting SBA products and guaranty levels when eligibility strengthens repayment and reduces risk, and defining pre‑funding conditions and covenants with clear documentation.
• Respond to inquiries within established service levels, conduct regular check‑ins at a documented cadence based on relationship size and complexity, collect required financial information ahead of renewals, reviews, or material change, and document all interactions in CRM to surface opportunities.

What You'll need:

• Three to five years of similar or related experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field

Key Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of SBA lending programs and processes including basic eligibility and documentation requirements; direct SBA production experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of outbound business development, including structured cold calling, call planning, pipeline management, and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
• Experience in branch processes including business account opening, Know Your Customer/Customer Identification Program (KYC/CIP), online and treasury services setup.
