Hancock Whitney is seeking a Business Banking Manager in New Orleans, LA. This role oversees the Business Banking team, guiding bankers to meet goals and deliver banking products to existing and potential clients.
Responsibilities include setting targets for loans, deposits, wealth management, and other services; ensuring policy compliance and staff training; and supervising multiple levels of staff while maintaining regulatory compliance under federal, state, and local laws.
Manages the Business Banking team. Supervises banker's activities to make sure they are achieving overall goals and providing products and services to existing and potential Business Banking clients.
Sets goals for loan, deposit, wealth management, and other products and services. Ensures bankers are following lending policy and procedures. Makes sure their staff is adequately trained and informed of changes in the industry both internal and external. Monitors the portfolios of assigned lenders and may handle their own individual portfolio. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Senior Management. Incumbent is required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Manages several subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of six to eight employees in the Business Banking department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Also, directly supervises eight to ten non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor’s Degree Four to six years related experience Six to eight years Business Banking experience acceptable if no degree earned. Proficient knowledge of banking products, specifically small business Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Excellent communication, analytical, customer service, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel Strong presentation and training skills
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to travel Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
