Job summary

The Exchange in Dallas is seeking an experienced attorney to handle complex business transactional matters and provide counsel to executive leadership at the corporate office.

Reporting to Deputy General Counsel, the role centers on reviewing agreements, supporting procurement actions, and analyzing laws to advise directorates, while engaging with internal and external stakeholders including government personnel.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree required.
• Minimum 5 years as a licensed attorney, with at least 3 years in business transactional law.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent legal research abilities.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong legal analytical skills.
• Good business acumen and work ethic.
• Ability to work independently with urgency, responsibility and fairness.
• Ability to interact with executives, military personnel and government personnel, adjusting communications to each audience.

Job description

ON-SITE work requirement, Corporate office 3911 S Walker Blvd, Dallas TX 75236

• Provides legal review of proposed business agreements, procurement actions, contract claims and contract enforcement.
• Practices preventive law, which may include developing and conducting educational sessions regarding prevention of litigation and, recommend changes to policy impacting The Exchange.
• Provides analysis of current and proposed laws and policy and provides counsel to The Exchange directorates.

Job Qualifications

• Law degree
• 5 years legal experience as a licensed and practicing attorney, with at least 3 years' experience with business transactional law.
• Exceptionally strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent legal research abilities.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
