Job summary

Mortenson Dental Partners in Omaha, NE is seeking a Dental Assistant 3 to join our practice. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist the dentist during procedures to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• CPR/X-ray certification required.
• Current EDDA or EFDA certificate (except Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, and Utah).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the treatment room for patients.
• Sterilize instruments and assist with instrument delivery; suction and pass instruments.
• Place and remove dental dam; fabricate temporary crowns; assist with endodontic procedures.
• Complete clinical notes prior to patient dismissal.

Your Role:

• Prepare the treatment room for patients
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instrument. Remove temporary crown and cements
• Place and remove dental dam, remove temporary crown and cements, fabricate temporary crowns - multi units, Prepare and assist with endodontic procedures
• Completes Clinical notes before dismissing patients

What We Are Looking for:

• CPR/X-ray certification
• Must possess a current and valid EDDA or EFDA Certificate (Except Indiana, Kentucky, Texas, and Utah)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
