Job Overview

The Business Associate works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient daily operation of the Doctors Office Center, providing fiscal responsibility, operational efficiency, and communication accountability. The role promotes total patient care and supports compliance with organization‑wide policies, state and federal regulations, and quality management principles.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish standards of best practice, including assessment, documentation, outcome evaluation, and ensure compliance with the same.
  • Ensure practice standards align with regulatory expectations.
  • Maintain accurate application of all policies, preparing monthly and year‑to‑date productivity and volume reports.
  • Identify, analyze, and solve complex problems.
  • Delegate and coordinate tasks effectively.
  • Analyze financial statements to inform operational decisions.
  • Foster team development, collaboration, and information sharing to achieve departmental and institutional goals.
  • Participate in planning and development of inter‑ and intra‑departmental systems that promote efficient, quality‑based services.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership, develop staff, and maintain organizational pride and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and discipline all staff; participate in recruitment and interview to retain qualified employees.
  • Provide education and development opportunities to staff, maintaining annual competencies.
Job Specifications – Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Knowledge of financial/budget preparation and statistical management.
  • Experience with an electronic medical record preferred.
  • Strong initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer and word processing.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with close attention to detail.
