Business Application Developer

$106,763.00 - $162,565.00

Location: Washington DC (Mandatory on-site work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday every week)

Skills: .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework. Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

Overview

The OCFO, whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is searching for a Business Application Developer (IT Specialist-Application Software).

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and refine system requirements and translate to application solutions.
  • Participate on project teams to establish business requirements for agency systems and provide technical solutions.
  • Plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of business applications.
  • Plan and design systems architecture, user interfaces, and application architecture.
  • Develop and evaluate test data to validate program modifications. Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Five (5) years of progressive experience performing related duties and responsibilities in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of application software; production support of enterprise applications; translating business requirements into technical solutions; and the ability to interact with various stakeholders; knowledge of at least one or more programming languages but not limited to .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and Entity Framework. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field and experience with the Microsoft Power Platform suite, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
