Job summary

Indiana Pacers is seeking a motivated Business Analytics Season Associate to help drive strategy through data analysis. You will support reporting on marketing, ticket sales, sponsorships and facility operations while gaining exposure to all facets of team business operations.

You will gather and clean data, create standard and ad-hoc reports, present insights to senior leadership, and communicate findings to PSE staff through presentations and written reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, sports management, mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to interpret and manipulate multiple datasets to conduct thorough analysis.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and presentation tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, Ticketmaster/Archtics, Google Analytics, Qualtrics and/or Formstack preferred.

Season Associate Start Date: August 2026

Season Associate End Date: April 2027

Location: On-Site in Indianapolis, IN

Anticipated Time Commitment: approximately 25 - 35 hours per week

Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a highly motivated Business Analytics Season Associate who has a passion for analytics, sports, and business who is eager to gain real-world experience to help grow their career. They will gain exposure to all aspects of team business operations by assisting with reporting and analysis projects related to marketing, ticket sales, sponsorships, and facility operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform analysis of a specific business issue to help drive future strategy.
• Gather, clean, prepare, store, manage, and integrate data from a variety of sources.
• Maintain and evaluate survey responses to help generate key customer insights.
• Create both standardized reports and ad-hoc analyses.
• Assist in crafting research & analytics reports for senior leadership.
• Communicate results to PSE staff through presentations, written reports, and tools.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and presentation tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, SQL (specifically Azure Apache Spark), Tableau (preferred), Power BI).
• Experience with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, Ticketmaster and/or Archtics, Google Analytics, Qualtrics and/or Formstack preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in market research, business analytics, customer insights and the sports and entertainment industries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain flexibility, openness, and a positive attitude when balancing multiple projects, assignments, tasks, and shifting priorities.
• Ability to work on projects independently and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
