ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF): The Business Analytics Manager is primarily responsible for leading the formulation of hypotheses, translation of data, design/measurement of experiments and generation of insights to inform business decisions by using various data mining techniques. The Business Analytics Manager uses data to perform more complex diagnostic analyses to provide answers to questions such as "Why did it happen?" and "What action can I take?". Guiding a team and/or project through the use of advanced reporting and execution of complex analyses, mapping out processes and applying necessary controls, the Business Analytics Manager uses business, industry / benchmark data and strategic knowledge to identify and anticipate business needs and opportunities, proactively managing partners and solving multiple problems for the business. Success criteria include: Demonstrating leadership through strong communication skills through messaging, addressing conflict, managing competing priorities and presenting holistic analyses to enable business strategy; ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage self and others to tight deadlines; establishing reputation as an effective and collaborative partner; Leveraging knowledge of strategy, business, and competition to connect day-to-day work of team to the "bigger picture".

Essential Job Functions

• Proactively solve business problems leveraging complex data
• Leverage knowledge of KeyCorp and LOB strategy, business, and competition to anticipate needs and make recommendations
• Drive projects end to end; prioritize multiple projects; manage to tight deadlines
• Review deliverables; coach others on approach and work product
• Lead business partner interactions; drive for results and provide recommendations in alignment with business priorities
• Effectively communicate with team and business partners; articulate broad implications / impact of messages
• Address challenging situations; anticipate and address conflict by demonstrating managerial courage
• Proactively coach and guide the work of others; Serve as mentor within and beyond own team

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 4 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or the Natural Sciences and 6 years of relevant experience
• Advanced proficiency with: o Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint o Query writing/coding including complex joins o Data visualization o Analytical programming languages
• Understanding of: o Source systems o Process flow and automation
• Skill & Ability to: o Work with big data o Navigate data warehouse and/or data supply chain
