Job summary

Key Cooperative in Roland, Iowa is seeking a Business Analytics Manager to build and support reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools that help financial, operational, and management teams make better decisions. Responsibilities

• Building, validating, deploying, supporting, monitoring and improving dashboards, BI reports, datasets, KPIs and metrics.
• Translating business questions into reporting requirements and data source needs.
• Delivering financial, operational, profitability, customer and inventory reporting with approved definitions.
• Identifying insights and process improvements to enhance visibility and decision-making.
• Documenting reporting logic, data sources, ownership, refresh schedules and access requirements.
• Maintaining secure reports and dashboards following data-use policies.
• Training users to access and interpret BI reports and findings.
• Collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to define, build, test and improve BI reports.
• Managing reporting requests based on value, risk and resources.
• Supporting user acceptance testing for dashboards and system updates.
• Providing progress updates and next steps to stakeholders.

We are currently hiring a Business Analytics Manager to join our team in Roland, Iowa (15 NE of Ames, Iowa). In this role, you will build and support reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics tools that help financial, operational, and management teams make better decisions. Work with company stakeholders, vendors, the Accounting Team, Director of Development & Technology, and CFO. This role turns business needs into reliable, secure, documented BI solutions that improve visibility, accuracy, efficiency, and user adoption.

This role is for you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, analytics, computer science, accounting, finance, business, agriculture, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.Five or more years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, financial or ERP reporting, or business systems analysis.

What you will be doing:

• Building, validating, deploying, supporting, monitoring and continuously improving dashboards, BI reports, datasets, KPIs, operating metrics, and exception reporting.
• Translating business questions into reporting requirements, business rules, calculation logic, approved data source needs, and acceptance criteria.
• Delivering financial, operational, profitability, customer, contract, inventory, settlement, variance, performance, and trend reporting using approved definitions.
• Identifying reporting insights, accuracy issues, and opportunities to improve business processes, visibility, efficiency, and decision-making.
• Documenting reporting logic, definitions, approved data sources, ownership, refresh schedules, access requirements, testing, changes, and user guidance.
• Building and maintaining reports and dashboards securely, following company access, confidentiality, and data-use expectations.
• Training users to access, interpret, and use BI reports, dashboards, KPIs, and findings effectively.
• Working with company stakeholders and vendors to define, prioritize, build, test, present, and improve BI reports and dashboards.
• Managing reporting requests and project work based on business value, risk, urgency, resources, and strategic alignment.
• Supporting user acceptance testing for new dashboards, report changes, and system updates that affect reporting.
• Providing concise updates on progress, blockers, decisions, findings, issue resolution, and next steps.
