Business Analyst with Asset Based Lending

Duration: 12+ months

Location: Charlotte NC/Dallas TX/Minneapolis MN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset-Based Lending (ABL) Business Analyst to join our Commercial Banking team. This is a critical role responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within our ABL operations, ensuring efficient and compliant data management and process improvements.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee based on performance and business needs (6-24 months).

Location: Charlotte, NC (preferred), Irving, TX, or Minneapolis, MN.

About the Role:

As an ABL Business Analyst, you will play a key role in complex initiatives focused on data management and process optimization within our Asset-Based Lending division. You will analyze intricate business challenges, translate requirements into actionable plans for technology teams, and facilitate the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset-Based Lending Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of ABL processes, products, and operational workflows to identify business needs and drive solutions.

Business Analysis & Requirements:

Conduct thorough analysis of complex, multi-faceted business challenges in data management.
Translate business requirements into clear, detailed user stories and epics using Agile methodologies.
Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) and solution design sessions with stakeholders.

Agile Project Support:

Actively participate in backlog refinement sessions, ensuring tasks are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
Utilize tools like Jira/Atlas for tracking and managing project deliverables.
Project Management Support:
Assist in developing and managing project schedules and defining project scope.
Facilitate effective meetings and communication across teams.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive their implementation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Strategically collaborate and consult with business partners, ensuring solutions meet their needs and align with compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst, Data Management professional, or Project Manager with significant exposure to Asset-Based Lending (ABL).
Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies, including writing user stories, defining epics, and participating in backlog refinements.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of evaluating complex factors and proposing effective solutions.
