The Transport & Rail (T&R) Technology Analyst position advances organizational goals by supporting systems for daily operations, participating on cross-functional teams, leveraging data to find efficiency opportunity and provide insights for business stakeholders, and leading improvement projects. The position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, team-oriented employee with experience leveraging and/or optimizing technology to improve work practices and operational efficiency. The ideal applicant will demonstrate experience in problem solving and be a champion of change management.

This position will be located in either Findlay, Ohio or San Antonio, TX. Other MPC site locations may be considered for the right candidate.

This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides day-to-day system administration support for business unit-specific systems, including troubleshooting issues
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
  • Conducts thorough analysis of existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvements
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
  • Creates and maintains reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
  • Develops process maps and workflow diagrams to illustrate current and future states of business processes; identifies bottlenecks and areas for optimization within existing workflows
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to design and propose effective and efficient solutions
  • Provides inputand conducts testingfor the development and implementation of new systems or process enhancements
  • Communicates to internal stakeholders and trains end-users on new systems or process enhancements
  • Ensures business needs are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders
  • Ensures implemented solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
  • Monitors industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Serves as business liaison for internal and external audits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years or more of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, logistics, project management, or continuous improvement highly preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, IT, or another relevant discipline preferred
  • Experience with SAFe Agile or technology deployment standards preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
