Pinnacle Group (Pinnacle Technical Resources) seeks a Senior Business Analyst for an onsite McLean, VA role on a contract-to-hire basis. The position pays $65–$70 per hour and requires mortgage industry BA experience with strong SDLC and testing knowledge.

You will interface between business and technical teams, drive UAT planning, and translate business requirements into precise technical specifications while supporting testing and risk-management activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a team lead with expertise in third-party risk management, information security, and operational risk.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas and automation; knowledge of SOC reviews (SOC 1 Type 2) and controls.

Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Job Description:

• Experience working as business analyst in mortgage industry
• Can interface between business and technical teams
• Understanding of end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of manual and automation testing
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Experience in:

• Requirement gathering
• Process/data flow design
• Technical spec design
• Business analysis
• Translating business requirements to technical requirements
• Defining project objectives
• Feasibility analysis -Supporting development, systems integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Creating and documenting UAT test strategies/plans and test cases/scripts

Must Have Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a team lead and possess strong expertise in third-party risk management, information security, and operational risk, with advanced skills in spreadsheet formulas, Excel automation, and financial statement analysis; knowledge of SOC reviews (including SOC 1 Type 2), controls, and enhancements is essential.
• Experience in IT audit is a nice-to-have.

Pay Range: $65- $70/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
