Job description

No other company in our industry is supercharging the way they work and serve their clients like OneDigital. Fresh thinking has always been the core of OneDigital’s vision and growth strategy. It’s how we stand out in our industry, it’s how we stay competitive and resilient in a changing world. Most importantly, our innovative approach is helping more people do their best work and live their best lives. Innovation fuels our employee experience by making it easier to do your best work anytime, anywhere and from any device. And our tech-based products for clients are a game changer in our industry. If you thrive on change and innovation, OneDigital is the career choice for you.

Our Newest Opportunity: Summary: The Business Analyst (BA) supports a broad range of D365-focused work for OneDigital’s Employee Benefits and Human Resources Consulting practices, partnering with teams across Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and more. Responsibilities may vary based on business priorities, production needs, and larger product initiatives. The BA serves as the primary owner of small to medium-sized enhancements and User Stories, from requirements through delivery, allowing Product Owners and Product Managers to stay focused on larger strategic initiatives. The BA also supports those larger initiatives as needed, gathering and documenting requirements, refining backlog items, coordinating demos and user acceptance testing (UAT), analyzing production issues, and partnering with technical teams on system behavior, integrations, dependencies, and impacts. To be successful, this individual must demonstrate strong business analysis skills, technical aptitude, and a personable, relationship-driven approach, with the ability to move fluidly between business and technical conversations. The BA is also AI-enabled by design, using AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Copilot and Claude in daily delivery, documentation, analysis, and communication.

Role Scope & Balance

Serve as the primary owner of small to medium-sized backlog items, including standalone User Stories, operational enhancements, and production fixes, allowing Product Owners and the Product Manager to stay focused on larger strategic initiatives. Support a flexible mix of D365 business analysis, application support, and product delivery work across multiple business areas. Adapt to shifting business priorities, production needs, and the size or complexity of active initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews.

Enhancements & Modifications

Own the analysis and delivery of small to medium-sized D365 enhancements and User Stories, from requirements through release. Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, translating business needs into clear User Stories and acceptance criteria. Develop current-state and future-state process flows, business rules, and supporting documentation. Validate requirements for completeness, clarity, testability, and alignment to business outcomes. Perform impact analysis on requested changes, confirming that updates to fields, forms, processes, or configuration won't disrupt other business units, reporting, integrations, or downstream processes. Write release notes that clearly describe delivered changes for business users.

Initiative & Feature Support

Support Product Owners and the Product Manager on larger Features and Epics as needed, typically by taking on User Stories within that work. Contribute requirements analysis, process documentation, stakeholder engagement, and UAT coordination to larger initiatives, while ownership of Features and Epics remains with the Product Owner.

Demos & UAT

Coordinate demos with requestors before UAT to confirm the solution meets the business need. Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenarios, tester coordination, issue tracking, and sign‑off. Document UAT outcomes and follow through on any issues or changes identified during testing.

Application & Integration Support

Investigate D365 production issues, including business impact assessment, reproduction, and documentation, before escalating to technical teams. Determine whether an issue is a system defect, a process or training gap, or a new requirement. Partner with developers and architects on enhancements and issues involving D365 integrations, clarifying data flows, dependencies, and expected system behavior.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Coordinate with the Product Owner before engaging business stakeholders, and keep the Product Owner informed of relevant conversations, decisions, and next steps. Build and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders, Product Owners, the Product Manager, and technical teams, serving as a trusted liaison between them. Translate system behavior and technical concepts into clear, business-friendly communication. Support stakeholder follow‑up, training, and documentation updates after release.

AI-Enabled Delivery

Use Copilot, Claude, or similar LLMs to draft and refine requirements, User Stories, acceptance criteria, meeting notes, and stakeholder communications. Use AI-assisted techniques to identify requirement gaps, edge cases, inconsistencies, and test scenarios. Review all AI-generated output for accuracy, completeness, and security, and follow data privacy standards, including safeguarding PHI and PII.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

Business Analysis & Technical Skills: Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis skills. Ability to analyze production issues and enhancement requests with clear attention to business impact. Experience supporting D365 or other enterprise business applications (D365 strongly preferred). Working knowledge of how D365 integrates with other systems, including data flows, dependencies, and troubleshooting approaches. Technical aptitude to review D365 configuration (forms, business rules, security roles, Power Automate flows) and validate data using views or Advanced Find. Hands‑on development is not required. Tools & Delivery Experience: working on Agile delivery teams and managing work in Azure DevOps (ADO). Hands‑on experience using AI tools and LLMs in day‑to‑day work, with the judgment to validate their output. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Visio). Interpersonal & Working Style: Personable and approachable, with a track record of building trusted relationships with both business and technical teams. Collaborative mindset, with the ability to navigate differing priorities and perspectives while keeping work moving forward. Curious and proactive, with a habit of asking clarifying questions and validating understanding before acting. Clear written and verbal communication, including translating technical concepts for business audiences. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain follow‑through across multiple requests.

Education, Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Systems Analyst role. Experience in employee benefits, insurance, financial services, or large-scale IT environments preferred. Experience supporting both business applications and system integrations preferred.
