Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Business / Functional Analyst to support the modernization effort for RES. This position is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Apply business analysis, requirements gathering, elicitation, elaboration, and refinement techniques to gather functional requirements from the client.
• Learn legacy systems and interact with stakeholders to understand business requirements for the future system.
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and support the design and implementation of Appian Business Process Model.
• Analyze business needs, document epics and user stories for agile teams.
• Perform gap analysis between system baseline, user requirements, and product capabilities.
• Develop and maintain requirement documents, including workflows, FRDs, RTMs, and use cases.
• Support application configuration, security setup, and system design.
• Create business process models and identify improvements.
• Review functional/capability configurations and system design artifacts.
• Define test scenarios and create scripts for system and user acceptance testing.
• Manage deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Communicate effectively within team environments.
• Apply industry best practices and knowledge of HCM to develop future business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with 5+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with BPM, case management, process automation, workflow management products.
• At least 3 years of specialized experience in functional analysis and requirements gathering.
• 5-7 years of business analysis experience in SDLC phases.
• 3+ years of functional experience with Appian or similar products.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work in agile teams, and technical understanding of business needs.
• Experience in creating user stories, use case diagrams, mockups, and process flow charts.
• Facilitation skills for workshops and interviews.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic government environment.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years recent federal government project experience.
• Experience as a functional analyst for product implementation.
• 3+ years of Agile Framework experience.

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
