Qualifications

• 5–15 years as a Business Analyst in the Energy/Power industry.
• Strong understanding of physical power assets, telemetry, and dispatch operations.
• Experience with ISO markets (ERCOT preferred).
• Hands-on exposure to API integrations and system interfaces.
• Proficiency in Python and Power BI.
• Exposure to ETRM or dispatch platforms (Endur, Allegro, Orchestrade, PCI, etc.).
• Ability to lead scoping independently and drive requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and ownership attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and document telemetry and operational data from CCGT plants.
• Rebuild data flows and integration pipelines into internal systems.
• Act as key liaison between power plant operations, dispatch, trading, and IT.
• Integrate physical assets with ERCOT APIs and internal dispatch platforms.
• Support asset scheduling, telemetry flow monitoring, and operational visibility.
• Lead requirements gathering and drive the integration roadmap.
• Create functional docs and support migration and testing phases.
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and IT delivery teams.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst with solid experience in the energy sector to support the integration of newly acquired power assets into internal trading and dispatch systems. The role involves analyzing and migrating telemetry and operational data, disconnecting legacy flows from Tenaska systems, and rebuilding data integrations internally. The ideal candidate understands physical power assets and dispatch operations and can work independently while collaborating with trading, operations, and IT team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, analyze, and document telemetry and operational data from CCGT plants
• Rebuild data flows and integration pipelines into internal systems
• Disconnect and migrate existing links from TENASKA systems
• Integrate physical assets with ERCOT APIs and internal dispatch platforms
• Support asset scheduling, telemetry flow monitoring, and operational visibility
• Act as key liaison between power plant operations, dispatch, trading, and IT
• Lead business requirements gathering and drive the integration roadmap
• Build functional documentation and support migration and testing phases
• Work independently as the sole BA on the project in a team of 17 engineers and SMEs
• Ensure alignment with compliance and operational continuity requirements

Qualifications

Must have

• 5–15 years as a Business Analyst in the Energy/Power industry
• Strong understanding of physical power assets, telemetry, and dispatch operations
• Experience with ISO markets (ERCOT preferred)
• Hands‑on exposure to API integrations and system interfaces
• Technical proficiency in Python and Power BI
• Prior exposure to ETRM or dispatch platforms (Endur, Allegro, Orchestrade, PCI, etc.)
• Ability to lead business scoping independently and drive requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical mindset and ownership attitude

Nice to have

• Experience with data migration or asset system integration projects
• Knowledge of CCGT plants and legacy systems
• Familiarity with SCADA/telemetry feeds and real‑time data flows
• Experience working with trading, operations, and IT delivery teams
