The SAP IBP Lead – Supply Chain Planning is a hands‑on leadership role within a newly established SAP Center of Excellence (COE). This position provides functional and solution design leadership for a new SAP S/4HANA implementation, with a primary focus on SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) in a high‑volume, complex supply chain environment.
This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Planning, and Operations teams, as well as AMS and cross‑functional SAP leads, to ensure scalable, standards‑based SAP solutions that align with business objectives and SAP best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead functional design and solution architecture for SAP IBP within an S/4HANA landscape
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into SAP functional and technical solutions
- Design and implement end‑to‑end supply chain planning solutions including:
- Demand forecasting
- Supply and inventory planning S&OP alignment
- Control tower and performance monitoring
- Partner with business, technical, and AMS teams to proactively resolve defects and drive continuous improvement
- Provide functional leadership across integrated SAP modules including MM, SD, PTP, OTC, VMS, Variant Configuration, and Plant Maintenance
- Support WRICEF functional design, documentation, testing, and delivery
- Guide enhancements and configuration changes, promoting SAP standard functionality wherever possible
- Support change management and adoption of SAP IBP solutions across the organization
- Collaborate with Architecture, Development, BASIS, and Security teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions
- Apply SAP OSS Notes, support upgrades, and stay current on SAP releases
Required Expertise:
- Deep functional expertise in SAP IBP and Supply Chain Planning
- Strong experience with IBP–S/4HANA integration, including CI‑DS
- Proven experience designing planning areas, key figures, time profiles, and master data models
- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and S&OP processes
- Experience preparing functional and process design documentation
- Knowledge of IDoc configuration and processing
- Hands‑on experience supporting SAP implementations and post‑go‑live environments
Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall SAP experience, including complex implementations
- 8+ years of SAP IBP configuration experience, covering demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP
- Prior experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations strongly preferred
- Exposure to additional SAP modules such as EWM, MM, FI/CO, VMS, OTC, or PTP is a plus
