Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst II to support the establishment and growth of a high-visibility Department of the Air Force (DAF) Innovation Program Office. This effort is focused on transforming how innovative ideas are identified, evaluated, implemented, and scaled across the enterprise while improving organizational effectiveness and mission outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to help build something new. The Innovation Program Office is still evolving, and responsibilities will continue to mature as customer priorities, processes, and objectives are refined. As a result, we are not looking for candidates who require narrowly defined responsibilities. We are looking for builders, problem-solvers, and self-starters who thrive in dynamic environments and are excited by the opportunity to shape something from the ground up. The successful candidate will work directly with government leadership and stakeholders to solve complex organizational challenges, develop innovative solutions, improve business processes, support program execution, and help create a sustainable framework for innovation across the Department of the Air Force. Candidates must be comfortable operating in environments with evolving requirements, taking initiative without waiting for direction, and stepping outside traditional role boundaries when needed to ensure mission success. Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and maturation of the Innovation Program Office.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to identify organizational challenges, innovation opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform business process analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization activities.
  • Develop strategic recommendations that improve organizational performance and mission effectiveness.
  • Support the development of innovation frameworks, governance structures, and evaluation processes.
  • Lead or support project management activities, including planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, risk management, and status reporting.
  • Facilitate workshops, working groups, stakeholder engagements, and executive-level meetings.
  • Develop executive briefings, presentations, reports, decision papers, and strategic communications products.
  • Support organizational transformation initiatives through stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and change management activities.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Coordinate across multiple organizations to ensure alignment of priorities, initiatives, and objectives.
  • Monitor performance metrics and provide analytical support to leadership decision-making.
  • Proactively identify gaps, emerging requirements, and opportunities for improvement and develop actionable recommendations. Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting project management, program management, business analysis, organizational transformation, process improvement, or related efforts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders and facilitating meetings or workshops.
  • Experience developing presentations, reports, briefings, and other executive-level deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force organizations.
  • Experience supporting innovation, transformation, organizational effectiveness, or strategic planning initiatives.
  • Experience with organizational change management.
  • Experience with business process improvement methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience supporting innovation ecosystems such as AFWERX, SpaceWERX, STRIKEWERX, DARPA, NavalX, Rapid Capabilities Offices, or similar organizations.
  • Experience facilitating senior leader engagements and governance forums.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is not someone waiting for a playbook-they help write it. We're looking for professionals who:
  • Thrive in ambiguity.
  • Take ownership and initiative.
  • Build relationships quickly.
  • Solve problems proactively.
  • Adapt to evolving customer needs.
  • Aren't afraid to jump in wherever needed to get the job done. Salary Range: $72,000 to $132,500 The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
