Job description

We are seeking a Business Analyst II with experience in the Managed IT space to join our growing team! This position requires a technically-savvy individual who can effectively work with offshore development teams and bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will be responsible for understanding and translating data, APIs, and business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. This role will require you to collaborate closely with internal teams, including Business Analysts, Developers, and Application Administrators, to ensure successful project outcomes and efficient technology integration.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing projects from inception to completion, gathering requirements, defining project scope, and mentoring other Business Analysts in best practices. Your ability to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders will be key to driving successful solutions, while also ensuring that projects meet ROI and KPI metrics to determine their success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Collect and analyze business data to identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions that drive business process modifications, system improvements, and technology integration.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and determine project scope, ensuring alignment with technical specifications.
  • Translate business and system requirements into technical documents, collaborating with offshore development teams to ensure all objectives are clear and achievable.
  • Lead project management efforts, ensuring timely delivery of projects while maintaining clear communication with all parties involved.
  • Facilitate discussions between business and technical stakeholders to ensure both sides understand requirements, timelines, and technical constraints.
  • Mentor and coach junior Business Analysts, helping them grow their skills and adhere to best practices.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and understanding of business analysis, keeping up with relevant certifications and industry trends.
  • Track and measure project success through ROI and KPI metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of experience in business analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in the Copier or Managed Print industry, with a focus on technical requirements, data, and system integrations.
  • Proven experience working with offshore development teams, understanding the challenges of collaboration across time zones and cultures.
  • Strong background in working with APIs, business processes, and translating these into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, e-Automate Suite, ConnectWise Suite, Salesforce.com, O365, and Microsoft Visio (certifications in these tools are a plus).
  • IIBA CCBA certification is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Strong communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Ability to document process flows and create clear user stories and business requirements.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand the intersection of business needs and technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage project workflows.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to overcome obstacles and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
