Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Business Analyst to analyze processes, translate business needs into technical specifications, and work within an Agile team to deliver solutions. You will partner with stakeholders, document requirements, and help design interfaces that meet business goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, 4 years of IT BA experience, and strong communication skills. OD offers robust benefits and career growth within a national LTL carrier.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent education and experience.
4 years of IT business analysis experience.
Experience in an Agile development environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

Analyze business problems and identify improvement opportunities across domains.
Develop requirements for processes or systems and document details for the build team.
Translate partner stories into backlog items for developers.
Maintain business process docs and ensure traceability.
Collaborate with analysts and scrum teams for consistency.
Provide functional design specs for new development and enhancements.
Ensure interfaces satisfy requirements and design standards.
Create and maintain test cases and automation scripts for testing.
