The Servicing Business Analyst will report to the Servicing Automation Manager. This individual’s primary roles are to manage various tasks associated with application development, project implementation, and supporting the Servicing team.
Position Overview
Position: Business Analyst I
Location: Austin, TX or Remote
Pay: $24.04 - $33.65/hr D.O.E.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of new processes and automation solutions by engaging with Business Units and Systems Department.
- Create process flows, requirement documentation, user scenarios, test cases, and coordinate user testing.
- Analyze data, interpret results, troubleshoot issues, and request changes to meet business requirements.
- Report on technical issues or questions and recommend solutions to the product team.
- Research and develop analytical solutions for Servicing units.
- Document processes and workflows, identify gaps, and address them through remediation.
- Assist with project implementations and system enhancements.
- Develop procedures and job aids to support new business processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance.
- Preferred degree in IT / Computer Science.
- Knowledge of mortgage industry terminology, concepts, and practices.
- Proficiency with SDLC methodologies.
- Experience capturing business requirements and testing changes.
- Knowledge of industry EDI file transmission methods.
- Strong SQL query skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Independent work capability, organized, and analytical.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Outlook, Office Suite, and Visio.
Preferred Education/Experience
- At least 3 years’ recent experience with MSP/Director 7.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA/VA servicing requirements.
- Understanding of FDCPA, CFPB guidelines, and debt collection regulations.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work occasional weekends.
- Must pass background check.

Additional Details
