Job summary

Catholic Mutual Group seeks an analytical professional to support employee benefits consulting and client service. Focus areas include data analysis, financial reporting, renewal strategy, and presenting findings to clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of accounting or financial experience; experience as an analyst required.
  • Working knowledge of group insurance benefits across multiple product lines (self-funded health, dental, life, accident).
  • CEBS or REBC designation and/or Accident and Health license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and prepare internal and carrier reports, including monthly reports and annual meeting materials.
  • Collect, compile, and format data for client requests, internal reporting, and presentations.
  • Support renewal by analyzing current plans, RFPs, proposals, and quotations.
  • Review spreadsheets, presentations, and benefit summaries.
  • Assist in renewal pricing, reviewing proposals, validating data, and presenting to clients.
  • Conduct final accuracy reviews on new and renewal policies and related documents.
  • Monitor and calculate commissions; coordinate with Finance; prepare premium/commission estimates.
  • Update and distribute pharmacy rebate information and Buying Alliance savings.
  • Generate and distribute consulting invoices on schedule.
  • Assist in resolving coverage issues and participate in vendor discussions.
  • Attend client meetings, stewardship meetings, and sales presentations.
  • Support new business solicitation and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Build relationships with carriers in service, underwriting, and claims.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and benefit legislation.

Job description

We are seeking a highly analytical professional with advanced Excel and reporting skills to support employee benefits consulting and client service activities. This role focuses on data analysis, financial reporting, renewal strategy support, and presentation of findings to clients and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience working with large datasets, developing meaningful business insights, and communicating recommendations to diverse audiences. This position is based in Omaha, NE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track, analyze, and prepare internal and carrier reports, including monthly reports, ancillary reports, loss ratios, commission data, and annual meeting comparison materials
  • Collect, compile, and format data for client requests, internal reporting, and annual meeting presentations
  • Support new and renewal business by analyzing current plans, RFPs, proposals, and quotations
  • Review spreadsheet comparisons, presentation materials, and benefit summaries
  • Assist in the renewal process by securing pricing, reviewing proposals, validating comparative data, and presenting proposals to clients
  • Conduct final accuracy reviews on new and renewal policies, brochures, certificates, and related documents
  • Monitor and calculate commissions; coordinate with the Finance Department; and prepare annual premium/commission estimates
  • Update and distribute pharmacy rebate information and Buying Alliance savings
  • Generate and distribute consulting invoices on monthly or quarterly schedules
  • Assist in resolving coverage issues and participate in vendor selection discussions
  • Attend client and carrier meetings, stewardship meetings, and sales presentations
  • Support the solicitation of new business and maintain strong client relationships
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with carriers in service, underwriting, and claims functions
  • Stay informed on industry trends, benefit legislation, and market practices
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of accounting or financial experience; experience as an analyst required
  • Working knowledge of group insurance benefits across multiple product lines (self-funded health, dental, life, accident)
  • CEBS or REBC designation and/or Accident and Health license preferred
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and writing skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent customer service and client-relationship skills
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate benefit solutions
  • Familiarity with carrier products and underwriting guidelines
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and time-management abilities
