Job summary

Maximus is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support large child welfare system modernization initiatives. You will translate program needs into clear requirements, document processes, and produce functional specifications.

You will collaborate with client leadership, technical teams, vendors, and PMO resources to ensure alignment with federal and state requirements. Responsibilities include eliciting requirements, validating workflows, conducting market research, and supporting traceability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or four years of relevant business analysis experience.
• 4+ years of business analysis, requirements elicitation, process improvement, or system implementation support for government health and human services programs.
• Experience documenting business needs, workflows, use cases, and traceability matrices.
• Familiarity with CCWIS, IV&V/PMO, and data quality requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consulting project activities for various projects.
• Analyze complex data, identify patterns, recommend actions, and measure outcomes.
• Coordinate with technical staff to understand requirements, specifications, and processes.
• Create system functional specifications from business requirements.
• Facilitate requirements sessions and workshops with stakeholders.
• Document current and future state processes, workflows, and user stories.
• Support traceability between objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
• Prepare client-ready documentation and status updates.
