Random Bit LLC is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work with Enterprise Architects on enterprise system modernization planning within the Medicaid domain. The role involves analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, and supporting implementation impacts.

Ideal candidates will be detailed planners, strong communicators, and first-rate analysts, able to capture complex concepts in text and diagrams. Remote work is available with EST hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years proven working experience in business analysis.
• Certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SPARX/EA, Draw.io.
• Experience modeling with UML, ArchiMate, etc.
• Experience in Health and Human Services field, preferably Medicaid.
• Detail-oriented with ability to deliver high-quality documentation.
• Ability to clearly convey complex concepts in text and diagrams.

• Serve as thought leader for business and technical processes analyzed.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories.

• Evaluate systems requirements with architectural impacts to business, data exchange, and implementation viewpoints.
• Prepare document outlines to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Produce clear documentation and visuals for representation of analysis.
• Conduct quality assurance on delivered artifacts.

Job Summary

We are currently searching for an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with our Enterprise Architects on enterprise system modernization planning projects. This position will help analyze business processes and develop implementations to transform the architecture, capabilities, and overall outcomes for organizations throughout the Medicaid domain. From supporting work sessions, developing models, documenting requirements, and evaluating implementation impacts, the ideal candidate will be a detailed planner, expert communicator, and first-rate analyst. The position can be remote but work hours will be based on EST business hours (8am - 5pm EST). This is a full-time W-2 position with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Interview subject matter experts, technical staff, architects, and other resources to gather requirements, analyze artifacts, and identify opportunities for transformative system modernization.
• Serve as thought leader for both the business and technical processes analyzed.
• Create, maintain, and update detailed documentation including business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories to convey the current state and target goals.
• Thoroughly capture business, information, and application models as output from work sessions, research, and independent analysis.
• Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements in conjunction with the architectural impacts to the business, data exchange, and application implementation viewpoints.
• Prepare document outlines to manage expectations with stakeholders.
• Produce and present easy-to-understand documentation and supporting visuals for clear and concise representation of the analysis completed.
• Conduct quality assurance on completed deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ Years proven working experience in business analysis.
• Applicable certification such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
• Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SPARX/EA, Draw.io, etc.
• Strong experience in modeling frameworks such as UML, ArchiMate, etc.
• Strong experience in modeling Activity Diagrams, Mind Maps, Process Flows, Entity-Relationship Diagrams, etc.
• Experience working in the Health and Human Services field, preferably Medicaid.
• Detail-oriented and capable to deliver high quality documentation.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and diagrams.
