Job summary

DSFederal, Inc. seeks a dual-function Business Analyst / QA & 508 Tester to elicit requirements, refine Agile backlogs, and ensure accessibility compliance for NWPS interfaces and related tools. You will conduct both manual and automated testing, track defects, and coordinate with federal stakeholders before releases.

The role requires strong knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA testing, experience with JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver, and proficiency in Jira and Redmine for traceability and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline is required.
• Total professional experience of 3–5 years (5+ preferred) in business analysis, software QA, and accessibility.
• Direct experience performing Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance evaluations on federal web apps.
• Proven ability to write Agile user stories with acceptance criteria and manage UAT and defects.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements and refine backlog into detailed Agile user stories with acceptance criteria in Jira/VLab Redmine.
• Plan, execute, and document Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance testing across NWPS web apps.
• Design and maintain test plans, cases, and scenarios for across desktop and mobile.
• Facilitate formal UAT and guide government stakeholders through sessions.
• Provide QA governance with test summaries and traceability matrices.
• Log, prioritize, and close defects per severity and contract rules.
• Participate in daily Scrums, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-team exchanges.
