Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Business Analyst to develop business and technical requirements, capture user stories, and translate them into deliverable functionality. You will collaborate with stakeholders across units to ensure alignment and approval, define success metrics, and support testing and reporting.

Tasks and Duties

• Develop business and technical requirements
• Identify user stories and translate them into technical requirements as required
• Develop user stories and break down requirements into deliverable functionality.
• Review the requirements with the stakeholders for their approval.
• Meet with stakeholders from every business unit impacted by the project, preferably in one-on-one meetings to ensure everyone is heard.
• Identify the target audience for each requirement, which will factor into the end-user testing process.
• Specify the exact success metrics for satisfying each requirement.
• Provide Management Reporting and Information dissemination
• Analyze and document current systems and processes as currently implemented.
• Make recommendations for improvements based on client feedback.
• Work directly with business stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec and on time.
• Leverage images, graphs, charts, diagrams, workflows, use-cases and visual prototypes to articulate the documented requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for system processes and procedures.

Required Skills / Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience with the following skill sets:
• Extensive business and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working and coordinating with the technical teams in documenting business and functional requirements.
• Overseeing project deliverables.
• Understanding software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary range $90,000 to $110,000
