Job summary

Aita Consulting Services, Inc is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Next Generation Point-of-Sale (NGPOS) Engineering Support POD in Seattle. The role works closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and business stakeholders to drive enhancements, manage requirements, and support operations for a large-scale retail POS platform.

Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, creating user stories, backlog grooming, and coordinating release readiness.

Qualifications

• Strong experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and delivering in Agile environments.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to manage work.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for enhancements and support initiatives.

Business Analyst to support our Next Generation Point-of-Sale (NGPOS) Engineering Support POD. This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, Support, and business stakeholders to drive application enhancements, manage requirements, and support operational initiatives for a large-scale retail POS platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for enhancements and support initiatives.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
• Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT activities.
• Partner in analyzing production issues and enhancement requests to determine business impact and priorities.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, support teams, and engineering teams to facilitate delivery.
• Maintain functional documentation and knowledge articles related to NGPOS processes and features wherever applicable.
• Partner for release readiness and change management activities.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with requirements gathering, user stories, and Agile delivery.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting application enhancements and production operations.

Other Skills

• Retail, POS, or Store Systems experience.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and microservices.
• SQL and data analysis experience.
• Experience working with cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure).
