Crane Company is seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic planning, operational planning, and forecasts for the CRANE ChemPharma & Energy unit, including market mapping, competitive assessments and profitability trends. You will translate data into actionable insights for senior management.
The role requires a technical degree (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) and strong skills in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or R, plus advanced Excel.

This role will assist with research and analysis required to inform the strategic planning, operational planning and forecasts for the business including but not limited to market mapping, competitive assessments, value chain mapping, trend analysis for key performance metrics such as a sales, orders, pricing, share gain, attrition, profitability etc. The Business Analyst will not only be responsible for data analysis but also interpretation and visualization of the data using sophisticated tools to inform key business decisions and presentations to senior management. www.craneco.com
Analyses product line data for key performance indicators including but not limited to orders, sales, backlog, pricing, share gain, attrition and profitability and distils them into actionable insights informing business decisions. Effectively communicate insights through charts, tables, and other elements for data visualization to report to senior leadership. Assists business line manager in developing and implementing strategic plan, operational plan, monthly and quarterly forecasts, pricing strategies in line with market opportunities. Support development of market trends & competitive analysis, identifying areas or opportunities for growth. Support cross-functional team in improving and maintaining product configuration databases. Review business models and inventory stock health, suggesting paths for optimization. Develops data analytics to support discussions with customer, sales and marketing personnel, cross-functional departments and customers regarding sales and orders.
May be required to travel up to 25% on company business to interact with customers. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
