Job summary

Qualifications

• Experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in process review and process mapping.
• Experience identifying and specifying automation opportunities.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Public sector experience is highly beneficial.
• Grants management or corporate services experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process review: map current corporate services processes, including business rules, handovers, responsibilities and pain points.
• Stop, simplify or keep: identify which processes can be stopped, which need reviewing, and which are working well.
• Automation opportunities: pinpoint where manual tasks can be automated and set out clear requirements to make that happen.
• Grants management: work hands-on with the Grants Management team to understand their needs and improve how their work flows.
• Recommendations: present clear, practical recommendations to stakeholders on what should change and why.

Client: Public sector consultancy

Rate: £435 p/d (Inside of IR35)

Duration: Until 18th December, with an extension to 31st March 2027 expected

We’re partnered with a leading public sector consultancy supporting a review of a client’s corporate services processes. (DFE) The aim is to understand how things work today, identify what can be stopped or simplified, and find where automation can take manual effort off the team.

You’ll be working closely with the Grants Management team, getting under the skin of their processes and helping shape a clearer, more efficient way of working. The contract runs until 18th December, and the paperwork for an extension to 31st March 2027 is currently being finalised.

The consultancy is looking for an experienced contract Business Analyst to hit the ground running and make a real difference in a short space of time.
