Job summary

Marquis Software Development is seeking a Business Analyst for an on-site role at our Tallahassee, FL headquarters. You will bridge client business objectives with Marquis’ technical solutions, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes, systems and software.

You will gather and validate business and technical requirements, document specifications, and translate them into actionable plans while coordinating with project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field, or four years of related experience.
• Work on-site in Tallahassee, FL.
• Experience in a technical work environment and Public Safety sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients, analysts, developers and management to identify and resolve complex software and business problems
• Demonstrate strong oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with business partners and internal team members
• Work with clients to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements, translating them into clear, actionable plans
• Assist in preparing detailed business analysis documents, including requirements specifications, process maps, and functional designs
• Provide status information back to the project manager for each client
• Strong multi-tasking, organization and follow-up skills

As a Business Analyst you will act as a bridge between our clients’ business objectives and Marquis’ technical solutions, ensuring that IT projects deliver an excellent solution to our clients’ needs. To achieve this you will analyze requirements, design solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, systems, software, and recommending solutions to your team to meet the final product expectations of our clients. This is a full-time position, located on-site at Marquis headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.
