About The Role
The Business Analyst translates business and revenue operations needs into reliable data workflows, system improvements, and actionable reporting. The role partners with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Engineering to improve processes across CRM, billing, forecasting, and go-to-market systems.
You will investigate operational questions using SQL and BI tools, define requirements for system and data changes, and turn ambiguous problems into clear technical deliverables. The work directly improves forecast accuracy, pipeline visibility, process efficiency, and the quality of decisions made by business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze pipeline, bookings, conversion, retention, and forecast data using SQL, spreadsheets, and BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
- Translate stakeholder needs into business requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready documentation
- Own data-quality audits across Salesforce, billing, product, and finance systems; identify root causes and coordinate fixes
- Design and improve workflows, approval processes, CRM fields, reporting logic, and operating procedures for revenue teams
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that track funnel performance, quota attainment, forecast accuracy, and operational KPIs
- Partner with Engineering, Data, and Systems teams to validate integrations, test releases, and manage requirements through deployment
- Document business definitions, data lineage, and standard operating procedures to create consistent reporting across departments
What We Are Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in business analysis, revenue operations, sales operations, systems analysis, or a related analytical role
- Strong SQL skills and advanced spreadsheet proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, and data validation
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, plus familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Ability to model business processes, define clear requirements, and communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience analyzing revenue, pipeline, forecasting, customer lifecycle, or other go-to-market data
- Strong project ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities across cross-functional teams
- Bonus: experience with dbt, Snowflake, NetSuite, subscription billing systems, API integrations, or CRM and ERP implementations; bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, analytics, or a related field
