Job summary

RiseMe seeks an experienced Business Analyst to partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders in a psychiatric health facility in Salt Lake City. The role requires on-site engagement within a SAFe delivery model and collaboration with facility leadership.

The candidate will translate business requirements into user stories, facilitate workshops, and ensure traceability through the project lifecycle, working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of business requirements experience in psychiatric/behavioral health care settings.
• SAFe environment experience including ceremonies and artifacts.
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and process-mapping skills (BRDs, user stories, workflows).
• Experience translating clinical and operational needs into technical requirements.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Prepare BRDs, process maps, functional specs, and status reports for leadership.
• Support UAT with test scenarios and stakeholder validation.

Behavioral Health — On-site in Salt Lake City

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to partner with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders in a psychiatric health facility, gathering and translating business requirements into actionable project deliverables. The role operates within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) delivery model and requires direct, on-site engagement with facility staff and leadership in Salt Lake City.
ONLY UTAH CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Minimum Mandatory Requirement

Minimum 5 years of extensive experience in business requirement gathering within a psychiatric health facility or a comparable clinical/behavioral health care setting. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements from clinical, administrative, and IT stakeholders
• Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with subject matter experts
• Translate requirements into user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for Agile/SAFe delivery teams
• Analyze current-state processes and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies (PI Planning, sprint reviews, backlog refinement) and collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams to refine the backlog
• Prepare clear documentation — BRDs, process maps, functional specifications, and status reporting for leadership
• Support user acceptance testing by developing test scenarios and validating outcomes with stakeholders

Required Skills

• 5+ years of business requirements experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health care setting
• Demonstrated experience working within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, including its ceremonies and artifacts
• Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, and process-mapping skills (BRDs, user stories, workflow diagrams)
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and translating clinical and operational needs into technical requirements
• Proficiency with business analysis and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft 365
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe certification (Practitioner, Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with behavioral health operations, regulatory requirements, or electronic health record (EHR) systems
• CBAP or PMI-PBA certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
