Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support web-based application development projects. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong analytical, documentation, and testing skills who can work effectively in an Agile environment. The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, performing manual testing, and collaborating with both technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business and system requirements
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and represent business needs
• Develop and execute manual test plans for web applications
• Log and track defects with detailed reproduction steps
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Review and improve business processes
• Conduct meetings and maintain detailed documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and process improvement
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
• Experience with SDLC and documenting user/system requirements
• Skilled in writing and executing manual test cases
• Ability to identify, document, and track bugs in web applications
• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with .NET web applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Must reside in Virginia, preferably in or near Richmond
