Winmark is seeking a Business Analyst to drive actionable insights across Finance, IT, Operations, and Franchise Development. You will design and maintain Power BI reports, define KPIs with leaders, and help advance AI-enabled solutions to support enterprise-wide decision making.

Located in Plymouth, Minnesota, this exempt role offers exposure to enterprise applications (CRM/ERP/POS), a collaborative team, and opportunities for professional growth in a sustainability-minded company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of business analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.

We're looking for a Business Analyst who is passionate about solving business challenges, uncovering insights, and driving continuous improvement. In this role, you'll partner with teams across Finance, Information Technology, Operations, and Franchise Development to enhance enterprise applications, deliver impactful Power BI reporting, and help advance AI-driven solutions that support strategic across the organization.

Job Duties

Reporting, Analytics & Data Management

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights across the organization.
• Partner with leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting requirements, and executive-level analytics.
• Lead efforts to improve reporting capabilities through modern data platforms, automation, and scalable solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through validation processes, governance practices, and ongoing quality reviews.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve access to business information.
• Translate complex business questions into meaningful visualizations, metrics, and insights that support decision making.
• Collaborate with data engineering and technology teams to improve data accessibility, reporting performance, and analytics capabilities.
• Train and support users on reporting tools, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities.

AI Enablement & Innovation

• Serve as a business and technology resource for cross-functional AI initiatives across the organization.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and customer experiences.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate, prioritize, and implement AI use cases that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Assist with AI solution discovery, proof-of-concept development, testing, implementation, and user adoption activities.
• Monitor AI solution effectiveness and recommend enhancements to optimize outcomes and user experience.
• Support the development of AI best practices, governance standards, and responsible AI adoption across the organization.
• Stay informed on emerging AI technologies and industry trends and recommend opportunities that may benefit Winmark.

Strategic Business Partnership

• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Franchise Development, and other business functions.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and technical resources to ensure solutions meet organizational objectives.
• Facilitate discussions that evaluate business value, risk, effort, and priority when considering new initiatives and enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through technology, automation, analytics, and AI-driven solutions.

Enterprise Applications & Business Solutions

• Lead and support enterprise application initiatives across CRM, ERP, POS, payment processing, and other business platforms, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and operational needs.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate business processes, and translate opportunities into scalable technology solutions and prioritized application roadmaps.
• Coordinate application lifecycle activities including testing, releases, deployments, user acceptance, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable and effective solution delivery.
• Collaborate with development, support, vendor, and business teams to improve system performance, documentation, governance, and user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Two to five years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience using AI-related tools for data analysis, application coding, or general business use.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies is a plus.

Pay range:

$90,000 - $120,000

Physical Requirements

This position involves working at a desk and computer for approximately six hours per day, with the ability to move around as needed. The role may require lifting up to 40 pounds without assistance and performing activities customary in an office environment, including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and using visual acuity.
